Lauren + Lee | Palazzo Parisio, Malta

Malta Destination Wedding, When we first spoke to Lauren and Lee they told us about their plans to be married in Malta, we were of course as excited as they were! We remember chatting away about why they has chosen beautiful Malta, their answer "We have both lived in Australia and always wanted to get married abroad, when we saw Palazzo Parisio in a brochure we just knew it was everything we wanted, so that was it, we booked!". Its funny sometimes how without realising we gravitate towards something familiar, as when we actually met in person with them both Lauren told us about how her parents had always loved Malta and had always holidayed there when she was a young, it made us wonder if subconciously it was one of the reasons they had chosen Malta to marry.

Lauren and Lee stayed in the beautiful 5 star hotel, The Palace, with amazing views from their room across the city and bay.

The wedding was held at the breathtaking Palazzo Parisio in Naxxar. Justifiably described as ‘a miniature Versailles’, Palazzo Parisio is a historic palace with oodles of charm, in its time it has been the residence of the most popular Grand Master of the Knights of St John (the ‘Knights of Malta’) and of Sicilian and Maltese nobility. An amazing place to get married.

Lee described to us his wait for Lauren at the alter, "I was very calm in the lead up to the ceremony but as soon as the music started to play, and I saw Lauren appear and walk down the aisle I felt so emotional, Lauren did genuinely take my breath away.

The day was amazing, the Palace was extrodinary, and the day went without a hitch. It was fantastic to catch up with Lauren and Lee the following day when they kindly invited us to their post wedding celebration, and reflect on their day. "We were blown away by the venue and the scenery of the place, the whole day was unbelievable. What really made the day extra special was all our family and friends, everyone got involved with all the little plans we made for the day, from the caricaturist to the roulette tables, when we stood and looked around it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves."

Lee says "Its hard to pin point the best part of the day as it all was truly amazing, my wife looked absolutely stunning and just seeing how happy she was made me feel like a million dollars... it really was the best day of my life so far."
